What's New?
Lent Bible Study Available
Our newest study, the Lent Bible Study, is only available through this email. We desire to have several individuals and a few small groups take part in field testing our materials before we post them to our website. Would you help us by being a part of our “Lent Bible Study” field test? This study is written in the same format as our other 2GO Bible study series. It is a 7-week study leading up to Easter. The following is the introduction.
Their accusations were poignant. Their breath could hold no more intensity. “Are you the Christ?” Jesus’ response was neither timid or coward, “It is as you say.”
The high priest came with his pointed finger. “I charge you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God?” “You have said so,” was his only reply.
His demeanor at the presence of deceptive and false witnesses led Pilate, the chief ruler and judge, to be astonished. “‘Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you.’ But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.”
The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ have both perplexed and amazed all of mankind. Did Jesus Christ really rise from the grave? All of Christianity pivots on this one question. He either accomplished the most epic event in all of life or he didn’t. He claimed to be the Son of God. The weight of this claim alone warrants lunacy or our complete devotion.
What Advent is to Christmas, Lent is to Easter. Lent (from Latin, meaning fortieth) is the 40 days beginning on Ash Wednesday and leading up to Easter Sunday. It is a period of time for us to reflect meaningfully on Christ’s journey to the cross. Early Christians stepped out of their normal routine to devote special time for prayer, lament, and repentance. How can you appropriately prepare your heart to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord?
This seven-week study is meant to do just that. Come and witness the last week of Jesus’ life. Observe the accusers, the innocent bystanders, and the hopeful followers. Daily as you read, meditate, and apply God’s Word to your life, you will have an increased awareness of who Jesus was and is. You will be challenged to observe the facts, interpret the meaning, and apply the Scriptures to your own heart, mind and soul.
Could He be the one? Will the grave be empty? Will there be restitution for our sin? Will the ritual of sacrifices be satisfied?
The Lamb of God is in our midst. His name is Jesus. He conquered the grave and he conquered sin.
HALLELUIAH!
HE IS RISEN. HE IS RISEN INDEED!
