From Walking Wounded to Walking with God
At NBS2GO our main desire is to see lives changed for eternity. Lean in close and listen to Anna.
My name is Anna. And this is my story.
I became a part of the Brookcliff subdivision community after I married in April of 2003. Within days I was openly welcomed by a walking neighbor, Lilia S., who didn't hesitate to invite me to various Brookcliff activities, but I never seemed to find the time. It wasn't until May 23, 2017 when I lost my husband to a sudden heart attack that I realized what a truly open, caring, and giving neighborhood community I lived in.
After the death of my husband, I had become a part of the "walking wounded," numb and in a complete state of shock. With open arms and open hearts, I was invited to the ladies of Brookcliff Bible Study Group where not only did I find comfort in new supportive friends, but I found comfort in the Word. My life began to have meaning again. Where I felt no hope for my future and had never felt more alone in this world, I learned through our weekly studies that I am, in fact, never alone; never was, I just didn't know it. God walks with me.
Through the group's guidance and my continued reading and study of the Bible, I have been baptized and strive to practice my newly found faith. I am so grateful to be saved and thankful that the ladies of Brookcliff Bible Study Group helped me believe I was worthy of being saved. Without their loving kindness and sharing of their faith with me, I don't know where I might be today.
